What this version does today
- Sweep schedule & conflict-safe scheduling: Schedule a property owner, a chimney flue, a sweep technician, a service, and an inspection slot. Rescheduling automatically blocks overlapping technician slots.
- Multiple flues per property: Store fireplaces, wood stoves, and furnace flues under one homeowner with appliance type, liner specification, and chimney height in feet.
- Deterministic appliance & liner pricing: Wood fireplaces, wood stoves, inserts, and pellets adjust price and duration by appliance multiplier and liner type. Level 1 inspection stays flat.
- Payment collection saves once: Records service amount, tip, and method (cash, card recorded, or other). Saving twice keeps the original payment record. Cards are not charged inside the app.
- NFPA 211 inspection report & annual recall: Stores a structured 7-zone report (Cap/Crown, Flashing, Masonry, Smoke Chamber, Damper, Firebox, Flue Liner), creosote stage (1/2/3), and suggests the sweep's next open slot 365 days out.
- Hazard risk tracking: Calculated from completed inspections, access issues, and chimney defect conditions across the property.
- Self-serve business setup & JSON export: Wipe the Cinder & Crown sample data to start your own business at /onboarding or /shop, and download a JSON backup anytime.
Deliberately not in this version
- Card processing or merchant processing accounts inside the app (use your existing terminal, cash, or invoice).
- Automated SMS delivery or marketing email blasts (reminders write to the in-app outbox).
- Public homeowner self-scheduling portals or multi-truck GPS route optimization.
- Hard seat locks — the plan is $19/mo for up to 5 sweeps, and adding a sweep is never blocked at five.
